Anniversary Trip

We always try to go somewhere new for our Anniversary each year. We had the best honeymoon ever! Well in my opinion. We went to Jamaica and stayed at Sandals Dunn's River Resort. It was an all Inclusive Dream come true.

For our first anniversary we went to Savannah and loved it! We walked to all the squares, walked on the beach at Tybee, admired the beautiful houses, and ate some GREAT food!!! We loved every minute of it and would definitely go back any chance we got! If you have never been to Savannah I highly recommend it!

Our second anniversary we went to Charleston, SC. I blogged about it earlier. Again another wonderful trip. I am still craving the shrimp and grits from Amen Street. I could go back tomorrow! There is so much to do there. Except at night I must say if you don't drink or eat a very late supper it gets kind of boring at night because all the store close about 6pm. I still would go back in a minute and highly recommend Charleston!

So... the question is where do we go for our third anniversary? We love all things Southern and had thought about New Orleans. We had also thought about Jekyll and St. Simons.

We try to stay closer to home because we only have about four days and that last day is normally spent traveling home.
What are your suggestions?

Something Easy

I love to find good easy things to add to dinner. My new favorite thing is the Pillsbury Garlic Butter Crescent Rolls. Roll them up, stick them in the oven, and (if you like butter and we do) let some butter melt on top.

This is definitely a great addition to any meal. Just thought I might share this with you. :)

What is your new favorite thing?

Saturday Adventures

Sometimes on the weekends Mr. C and I like to set out on an adventure to find a new place for pictures or a new restaurant or just to ride around and see what we find.

Saturday Mr. C had come across a covered bridge that we have never been to before so we set out to find this new place. It turned out to be not too far from Athens, GA which turned out great for dinner plans.

The covered bridge turned out to be a great find.

After we took some pictures we drove over to Athens to walk around on this rare warm spring like Saturday. Just the two of us wondering around like college kids. We then wondered into a great little Italian restaurant that I had heard a lot about. Ok actually I posted on FB that we were in Athens looking for a great (non chain) restaurant and got a great suggestion from a friend. The first scenario just sounded more romantic but if you have learned anything about me on here it is that I like a plan. Mr. C on the other hand is laid back no need for a plan type of guy so we balance each other out very well. If we were in Athens I wanted something different and something good. So we ended up at DePalma's Restaurant which does have two other locations but in my mind this was not a chain. :) The food was delicious and definitely worth a second trip in our future.

                                                                  Fettuccine di Parma

                                                                  Seafood Charmaine

And for a dessert we had a milkshake from The Varsity! Yum!

We normally do not ever go to Athens unless it is for a UGA Football Game. Go Dawgs! :)
But somehow we have ended up here twice in one month. In that time we have had two amazing meals!

Supper Time!

Today we were going for something easy. I had bought some beef that is already cut into pieces for stir fry or fajitas. We are using it for fajitas. Mr. C marinated the beef in A1, garlic, cumin, Lawry's seasoning salt and orange juice. We sliced onions and peppers. I also chopper cilantro. I love cilantro apparently there are some people that do not but it's not mexican food to me if it doesn't have cilantro. We made some Mexican Rice my favorite kind is listed below. We also heated some black beans. I did not get a great picture of the final product I guess we were just too hungry! I have to say that this is Mr. C's best marinade for fajitas yet!

And this is our Fajita supper! Yum!

How do you make your fajitas?
